Mentor Post - 9 Apr
Mentor blog post 9th April 2020
Another busy week for Sarah and I at Bourne Digital towers. Lucky Easter is almost upon us and a well-deserved break is in sight.
This week we’ve been concentrating on our target audiences of SMEs and parents.
We’ve got a new video in place (you can see that here), we’ve promoted ourselves on several newsletters that reached out to primary and secondary schools, started our social posts including Facebook and Twitter, and as you can see we have a brand spanking new blog, which will include a weekly joint update from both mentors.
We’re still chipping away at the referrals, which are mainly being sent via the Wiseability team, but we are hoping the flood gates open soon. Of course, if you know of someone who is need of some basic digital skills, or SME who needs some social media help, do get in contact. Just call us on 01202 677557 and either Sarah or I will call you back.
If you’d like to find out a bit more about the team on a personal level, you can check out some facts about myself, Sarah S and Sarah B. Can you guess which one of us does face painting as a side gig!
It’s always nice to get some client feedback, and this week we did. Here are a few bullets from an existing client, pre COVID-19.
- ‘The project has been very interesting and is helping me get a better understanding of computers/internet in general and I look forward to when our lessons resume.’
- ‘It's nice having things explained to me on a level I can understand.’
- ‘I have found you as a mentor very helpful, calm, you explain everything in detail until I get the idea of what I am doing, it has been a pleasure working with you so far.’
Finally, in these trying times, if you are finding it hard self-isolating at home; Sarah has put an awesome wellbeing page together. I can highly recommend it.
That's all for now folks. Have a great Easter and we will see you on the other side!
