Is Bourne Digital right for you?
Once we have your contact details, we will assess your digital skills via a telephone assessment.
How does it work?
If you are accepted on to the 12-week online course, you will be given a 1 hour 30-minute induction at Bournemouth library by one of our Digital Mentors.
The induction will consist of a formal introduction to the course, course overview, documentation completion, laptop handover and training.
Additionally, we will create and agree an action plan, helping you to identify areas in your life where improving your digital skills will really help make a difference.
Once you have begun your Bourne Digital 12-week Journey, you will be in regular contact with your assigned Digital champion via email and phone, to track your progress and answer any questions.
The course starts at the beginning of every month. Group sizes will be kept small between 6-8 people.
Each individual online session will include a different topic, beginning with the basics of getting to know your computer, mouse, and keyboard; working up to how to use email, create Word documents and much more.
We will support you to:
- Develop life skills
- Gain digital confidence
- Improve your employability skills
- Improve your wellbeing.
Whatever your digital objectives are, we’ll help you to get there.
By the end of the programme, we will support you to develop the skills and self-confidence to overcome your digital barriers and keep going on your own.
