Face Forward working with The Crumbs Project to offer specialist training in Bournemouth and Poole
The Crumbs Project offers specialist training packages in catering, housekeeping and cleaning, and administration for Face Forward participants living in Bournemouth and Poole.
Trainees range in age from 18+ and come from a variety of backgrounds, including mental health problems and/or learning disabilities, acquired brain injury or stabilised addiction. All are offered the opportunity to learn and progress in a safe and supportive environment.
All courses will help young people to gain plenty of hands-on experience, develop work skills, get a better understanding of employees’ rights and responsibilities, and feel more prepared to plan their future around work.
The Catering Training Package is ideal for those who have a passion for cooking! This course will cover a wide range of areas, from baking and decorating cakes and pastries, to developing skills in food preparation, main meals and kitchen hygiene.
Housekeeping and Cleaning:
The Housekeeping and Cleaning course prepares young people to work in hospitality and covers tasks such as laundry, cleaning offices and kitchen areas, waste control and using chemicals correctly.
In the Administration course, young people will learn how to answer the phone in a professional setting, greet visitors, use Word and Excel, fil paperwork, and shred paper.
In line with Face Forward ethos, the length of the course will be dependent on the individual’s needs. To find out more about The Crumbs project, visit: www.crumbs.org.uk/face-forward/
