What is Connexions?
|
Connexions in Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole is a service providing free impartial and confidential advice, guidance, support and personal development services to 13-19 year olds, and to some young people up to 25 who have learning difficulties and disabilities.

What is a Connexions Adviser/Careers Adviser?

Our Advisers help thousands of young people each year. From initial advice and information to more substantial one-to-one support, our Advisers can support you on a number of issues including education, careers, activities, money and benefits, personal development and much more. |

How can I make an appointment?

You can make an appointment by either coming into the Ansbury (Connexions) Office, phoning us up or emailing.

What benefits am I entitled to?

If you make an appointment to see an adviser we can find out what type of benefits, if any, you are entitled to.

Can you help me find a job?
|
If you have decided what sort of job you would like to do, we can support you with your applications. We will advise you on tools and techniques to use, help you to write a CV, signpost you to vacancies and give you tips to build your confidence in the job market.
We also recommend that you look at the websites of the professional or trade organisations in the industries that interest you to find out about job opportunities.
Our advisers can help you with keeping your CV up to date and brushing up on your interview skills. We also have projects like Exceler8 which can help you build the skills you need to find a job. |
